China has made significant contributions to world poverty reduction and contributed a “Chinese plan” to this end. It is worth noting that China has a planned, organized and large-scale poverty alleviation under the leadership of the government and fully demonstrates the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics, which is different from the small-scale private life relief abroadLiu Yongfu, “China Promises to Eliminate Absolute Poverty by 2020,” Phoenix TV.. This paper starts from the theory of Economics of getting PoorAuthor’s note: as for the translation of “Getting Poor,” the author discussed with many overseas scholars and believed that it should be paraphrased as “致贫.” and analyzes the realistic significance of the objective existence of Chinese poverty alleviation. Economics of getting Poor is the theoretical work that economists need to focus on, and is also the theoretical construction that Chinese leaders emphasized after putting forward the new strategy of “comprehensive well-off” in the new century. At the press conference of the Third Session of the Tenth National People’s Congress in March 2005, Premier Wen Jiabao issued a statement that we must understand “the economics of the poor” and "after understand agriculture, we can understand the economics of the poor", which not only caused strong repercussions at home, but also caused widespread concern abroad.
